Public Activity You Add
Surfolks only accesses the public social activity of the people you explicitly add to your watchlist on LinkedIn and X. We do not access private messages, private profiles, or any activity you have not asked us to track.

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate our website:

Surfolks FeedFilter Chrome Extension
FeedFilter is a free Chrome extension made by Surfolks. It filters your LinkedIn, X, Hacker News, Reddit, and Threads feeds in your own browser. It needs no account, no API key, and no server, and it does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data.
No Data Collection or Network Requests
FeedFilter makes no network requests and has no backend. Nothing about your feed, your filters, or your activity is sent to us or anyone else. We cannot see what you browse or what you filter.
What Stays on Your Device
The only data FeedFilter stores is your own configuration: your filter settings and your "Always show", "Never show people", and "Never show words" lists. This is kept in your browser using Chrome's own storage (chrome.storage.sync). If you have Chrome Sync turned on, Google may sync that data across your signed-in devices under Google's privacy policy; we never receive it. Removing the extension removes this data.
What It Reads on the Page
To decide what to filter, FeedFilter reads only what is already shown on the pages you visit: a post's age, LinkedIn's connection degree, an ad or promoted label, and the author's own post text (never the comments). This processing happens entirely in your browser and is used only to hide or collapse posts, which you can always reveal.
Permissions
FeedFilter asks for access to the feeds listed above so it can read and filter the posts already on the page, and for browser storage so it can remember your settings. It has no background worker and requests no other permissions.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
